DISTRICT SCHOOLS OF MINISTRY
The CoRe Network is committed to creating Educational Partnerships with District Schools of Ministry “to train resurgence leaders with burning hearts” (Luke 24:32). We believe facilitating these Educational Partnerships can help every CoRe District capture, catalogue and communicate Boards of Ministry best practices, leading to a never-ending to improve. We believe we are embarking on a path that will improve ministerial training on every District and we are committed to building benchmarks to measure progress.
We also believe district peer-to-peer collaboration will improve the work of every Boards of Ministry. An initial study was conducted several months ago of existing District Schools of Ministry that deliver ministerial training for ordination. These results were based on an examination of 78 district websites located on the USA/Canada Region. There are approximately 30 districts who provide no ministry education classes at this time. There are 15 districts that offer some ministry education classes and 33 districts currently operate a District School of Ministry. This represents 62% of USA/Canada Districts or a total of 48 who provide ministerial training for their district ministers. In the future, all districts will operate with a formal partnership with an existing Nazarene educational institution. The 33 District Schools of Ministry are listed below.
