CoRe Board of Ministry

The purpose of the BOM.CoReNw.org website is to help us support the work of CoRe Champions on every district and in every local church, as they help identify, encourage and mentor new ministers. Many of our districts are already CoRe Districts, many churches have become CoRe Churches, and this site is designed to resource a CoRe Board of Ministry.

With our Course of Study Consortium working to deliver a new Course of Study for use in all of our districts by next year, we are also seeking feedback from DSes, pastors and lay leaders about the practical ministry skills we desire in all of our newly trained pastors. You can view our current skills list and give us your feedback to improve our work within every district’s Board of Ministry. Our hope is that with our new Course of Study, every district will develop a CoRe Board of Ministry that shares the CoRe (Cycle of Resurgence) with every new minister we develop.

Becoming a CoRe Board of Ministry is not difficult. It involves the following 3 simple steps.

  • The Board of Ministry Chairperson registers below.

  • The Board of Ministry uses our CoRe current skills list and agrees to help us continue to improve the practical development of these skills in new ministers. Suggestions for improvement are greatly welcomed and will be immediately added for all other districts to benefit.

  • The Board of Ministry encourages all new ministers to be become familiar with the CoRe (Cycle of Resurgence) and all educational instructors connected with the district to regularly reference the CoRe (Cycle of Resurgence) where appropriate in class.
